Charlie Wilde - Head Coach
Coach Wilde received his bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University and his master’s degree in Leadership from Northern Arizona University. He has been Teaching and Coaching for the past 33 years in the Paradise Valley School District. Coach Wilde started the Pinnacle Basketball Program 24 years ago. Coach Wilde also coaches Girls Golf during the fall season. Coach Wilde and his wife Bridgette have two children, Kyla who is 21 and Alexa who is 16 years old. He enjoys spending his time with his family when he is not coaching and when time permits golfing. |
Taylor Rohde - Assistant Coach
Coach Taylor is a true hometown hero. After countless awards and school records at Pinnacle High School, including Gatorade Arizona Player of the Year, Coach Taylor continued to have an impressive college career. He played 2 years at Arizona State University and 2 years at Alaska Anchorage. At UAA he was honored to be a Unanimous All-American and National Player of the Year. After college, Coach Taylor ventured to play professionally overseas for 5 years. He played on various teams from Germany to Euro Challenge. Coach Rohde is starting his 4th year on the coaching staff at Pinnacle. |
Nathan Stumpf - Assistant Coach
Coach Stumpf graduated from ASU in 2010, where he got his B.S. in Applied Biological Sciences. He received his Master of Science in Biology from Grand Canyon University in 2019. This will be Coach Stumpf’s 14th year coaching high school basketball and his 11th year at Pinnacle High School. Coach Stumpf was previously the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Goldwater High School from 2019-2021. During his last stint at Pinnacle, he was the Head JV Coach and before that the Head Freshman Coach. He’s thrilled to be back and a part of a coaching staff that has a plethora of knowledge about basketball and emphasizes the fundamentals of the game. Off the court, Coach Stumpf enjoys spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their two kids, Natalie and Jordan. He goes to Suns games in his spare time and is an avid autographed basketball jersey collector. |
