The Pinnacle Boys Basketball team proudly hosts the annual B-Inspired Game to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of former team manager Brandon Wechsler. Brandon was a cherished member of the Pinnacle basketball community. Despite living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, enduring numerous surgeries, and facing significant physical challenges, he inspired those around him with his unwavering positivity and infectious spirit. His life motto, “The only disability in life is a bad attitude,” continues to resonate as a powerful message for Pinnacle students and athletes today.
Brandon passed away in November 2022, leaving an indelible mark on the program and the community. Since then, the Pinnacle Boys Basketball program has dedicated itself to preserving his legacy. This commitment is reflected not only in basketball but also through the annual B-Inspired Scholarship, awarded to two Pinnacle senior students who embody the values Brandon championed. Additionally, during the B-Inspired Game, players from each team level team who exemplify exceptional teamwork and a positive attitude are presented with the B-Inspired Award.
Beyond basketball, Brandon had a deep love for sneakers, amassing an impressive collection over the years. In his memory, the Pinnacle Boys Basketball team organizes an annual athletic shoe drive, donating sneakers to students in need. This initiative reflects Brandon’s spirit of generosity and ensures his passion for helping others continues to make a meaningful impact.
